We hope you all had a great Christmas & a Happy New Year!
Last season was one of the best seasons to grace TheVFA and saw record numbers of players involved in a truly competitive Fifa 17 pro club leagues.
Over Christmas the plan with the website was to shutdown for 1-2 weeks whilst we addressed some issues and made some upgrades. Unfortunately life got in the way for the staff team as I’m sure it has for all of our members during the festive period.
Now we are into January and the hangover has worn off for members and staff, we’re ready to get cracking. We’re not content with the minor upgrades planned though and think our members want more.
We are very eager to get into another season, as we’re sure you all are too, especially after last seasons great success – but good things come to those who wait! The community has spoken and we’ve also been busy building our want lists for the next batch of upgrades to TheVFA.
The site will shutdown tomorrow @ 6pm for just under 2 weeks reopening on Monday 23rd January. The first season will commence the week after with the upgrades complete.
As for the upgrades & changes taking place, we unfortunately cannot be specific. All that we can say right now is there will be a major overhaul in every area of the website, infrastructure changes, bug fixes and new features. The site has outgrown itself and its now ready to enter into it’s 2.0 version.
We are doing our best to ensure that the chat-rooms will still be running so you can all use it whilst we are down, but due to the size and complexity of the upgrades this may not be possible intermittently.
All player stats, club histories and player coin balances will be retained, as will all other account information and history – so don’t worry, it’s all safe. Club managers will retain the option of continuing to manage their club once reopened. All players on the website will be marked as free agents and ready to receive new offers under the new upgrades.
We’re very excited about the changes and hope you are too!
