With Schalke looking to improve on their finish of 2nd place last season it is they who sit on the top of the league, but not just by any chance it is something that is very well deserved, they are yet to be beaten some 20 games into their league campaign and boast the best defensive record throughout the 3 leagues, however with a slender 5 point lead over Bayern Munich you can’t rule out a nervy few weeks ahead for the Schalke management, however a title defence from Eintracht Frankfurt looks out of sight following a season with inconsistent results.

You can only help but feel its a 2 horse race for the Bundesliga due to 3rd place Darmstadt some 11 points behind, but there is hope they have the best attack in the league and the joint 2nd best defence showing they can compete and final results are the only obstacle stopping them from challenging for the title.

With last seasons highest scorer gaining 36 goals it is clear to see the league has come a lot more competitive with the current top scorers on just 11, however a congratulations is till in order for GoohRooh and FCF Martial who are keeping their clubs Darmstadt and Bayern with a chance of silverware, as for the men doing their bit in midfield congrats to iWardyy and Phillips l 9 l for their efforts, a special mention to Harmonalgravy, who appears to be a player dominating the midfield this season helping his team with plenty of tackles and interceptions and not losing the ball very often with a nifty pass completion of 85.2%

Leading the league with the most saves is Ollie l 98 l who plies his trade at Borussia Monchengladbach who find themselves in 4th place will be relying on him to keep the opposition out and give his side a chance at Champions League qualification.

With the Quarter Finals approaching in the divisional cup it is wide open to any suitors with league leaders Schalke out of the competition that leaves a chance of silverware for Darmstadt, Stuttgart, Hertha Berlin, Hamburg, Bayern, Wolfsburg, Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt all with a solid chance of winning.

In conclusion we can expect some teams to turn their focus to the cup and take a relaxed effort to the league campaign and we will be sure Schalke will look to wrap the title up as early as possible with it being their sole focus on the domestic front.
